Flower

I originally planned to make a poncho with flower motifs, inspired partly by this one by Drops Design/Garn Studio, but the motifs of that one were a little 'pointy' for me. So I decided to design a flower myself. Then once I made a few, the idea of the poncho kind of became, shall I say, less desirable. But the flower is cute enough to be used in other patterns or added to other designs (as we shall soon see).

Materials
Lily Sugar N' Cream Cotton (I used blue) - 70.9 gm (2.5 oz) - 4 ply, worsted weight cotton, 1 ball will make many, at least enough for the elusive poncho.
Sizze 5mm crochet hook
Yarn needle

Gauge - finished flower measures approximately 9cm (3.5")

Round 1 - ch 10, join with slst to 1st ch.
Round 2 - * ch 3, sc in ring. repeat from * 8 times.
Round 3 - Slst in first ch3 space, ch1, 3 sc in same space and in each ch3 space around, slst in beg ch1.
Round 4 - *[1sc, 1dc, in first sc][2 trbc in second sc][1dc, 1sc in third sc]. repeat from * in each set of three sc. join with slst to first sc. Fasten off.
